Banking SPICE - Towards a common language for the financial sector
Introduction
An Open Innovation Framework for Services Process Improvement in the Financial Sector
The role of Luxembourg as a financial “hub” is well known throughout the world. At a macroeconomic level, the service sector represents 86% of the total GDP and financial services are the most important driver of the country’s GDP growth.
As part of its INNOFinance initiative, The Public Research Center Henri Tudor is partnering with the international standards community to promote quality standards, innovation and governance principles for the Luxembourg financial marketplace. The ISO/IEC 15504 process assessment standard (known as SPICE) is a universally recognized standard that has already been successfully applied in the IT, Aerospace and Automotive sectors. This new approach of applying a specific ISO standard to the financial services sector will allow us to develop structured financial governance tools that will include models, assessment tools, and process improvement and capability determination techniques.
Objectifs
The objective of this one-day conference is to present this new approach of applying a specific ISO standard to the financial services sector.
